On your drive to Zion from Zion View RV Park there are many things you can stop and see. If you are looking for a, not as well known, swimming hole, visit Sheep Bridge. Approximately 7 miles from Zion View RV Park on the way to Zion National Park you will see a dirt road off to your right. This dirt road is Sheep Bridge Rd. You follow this road back and can find where all the locals go to cool off on a hot day. There are multiple pools of water and a slow moving river running under Sheep Bridge.
Visit Confluence Park in La Verkin, Ut
If you are looking for another great swimming spot on the way to Zion National Park visit Confluence Park and take the Confluence Trail. This park is located just 6 miles away from Zion View RV Park. It takes just over 10 minutes to drive there and is well worth the time spent. This trail is about .9 miles long each direction and arrives at a beautiful swimming hole with a rope swing included! If you are into rock climbing near Zion National Park there are 3 top roping routes that are easy enough for beginners and tons of fun.
Don’t pass through Springdale, Ut without trying a Murder Burger at Oscar’s
As you move further down the road from Zion View RV Park toward Zion National Park we suggest you stop by Oscar’s for a delicious lunch. If you are feeling truly ambitious you can try their murder burger. Finishing this monstrous burger is done by only a select few. If you are hungry enough to complete this crazy task you get your photo on the wall!

Shuttle service to Zion National Park runs constantly throughout the day
Rockville and Springdale both offer parking for visiting Zion. After parking, Zion National Park has shuttle service throughout the day to take you to the main entrance. At the entrance you can purchase tickets to the park. From the entrance you board another shuttle that will take you to the various hikes and scenery Zion has to offer.
Spend one day driving through Zion’s from Zion View RV Park
While the shuttle service to Zion covers many of the hikes available, there are many other things to see at the park that is only available through driving your own vehicle.
Park your RV, fifth wheel, or trailer at Zion View RV Park and make the short 35 minute drive to Zion National Park entrance. From there you will wind up the road and tunnels and find a short hike. The hike culminates in an incredible view just on the other side of the tunnels. This hike is called the Canyon Overlook Trail. Occasionally if you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of a bighorn sheep, deer or elk.
Keep your eyes open during your drive for the abundant wildlife found at Zion National Park. You can see squirrels, deer, big horn sheep, and much more. It is amazing what this nationally recognized ecosystem is able to support in the middle of the desert.
